SHAWN WALLICK

Shawn Wallick joined the development team at Newport Hospitality Group in July of 2022. Shawn’s passion for building relationships, paired with his ability to understand and forecast markets brings added strength to Newport’s development team. 

Shawn started his career in Nashville, TN as the Banquet manager for the Holiday Inn Nashville Vanderbilt. He then held many positions with the Hilton Garden Inn in Smyrna, TN, beginning with catering sales manager and culminating as the General Manager after 18 months on property. Shawn joined NHG in 2016 as the GM of the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Airport, where he served for four years. His last position in the field was at the Hilton Garden Inn Columbia Harbison where he also served as Regional Director over multiple hotels in the Columbia market.  

Shawn was a Hilton Garden Inn Brighthearted Award recipient in 2017, is a Certified Hospitality Supervisor through the AH&LEF program, and a Certified Hotel Administrator through the AH&LA program.  

In his free time, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, expanding his culinary prowess, investing in the lives of others, and trying to make people smile.
